Meet the team

Dan Burner - Registered Manager / Owner
Dan has worked with the elderly for the past 18 years, both as a care assistant and qualified nurse (RMN). Since qualifying in 1997 Dan has striven to enhance the lives of the elderly in both residential care and in their own homes. It was during his four years as Director of Operations of a North London home care agency that he truly saw the potential for people staying in their own homes and how a familiar environment can have a marked effect on enhancing quality of life. This forms the principles behind The Extra Mile Care Company.

Dan lives in London and is married with five children. He has also won the award for Best Home Care Manager in London 2010

Nadine Mogford - Training Manager
Nadine is responsible for the organisation and implementation of our extensive staff training programme. Since graduating with an honours degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Greenwich University Nadine Mogford has been honing her client liaison and administration abilities in a range of high profile corporate environments. Keen to move into a more friendly and personal working environment Nadine also has a comprehensive knowledge of the intricacies of caring gained from a close relationship with her younger brother who has complex needs as a result of brain damage inflicted by meningitis in infancy.

Alex Burner - HR Manager
Alex has held various roles within the mental health charitable sector since graduating with a Masters in Health and Development from the London School of Economics. Most recently she was instrumental in the Government National Social Inclusion Programme campaign for mental health. She was keen to join the family business in a supporting role assisting with business development and staff training.

Raoul Bridges - Care Supervisor

Raoul started care work in a volunteer capacity helping care for an elderly neighbour with Alzheimer’s Disease before moving into full time care work in 1993. A strong advocate for care within the home and a believer in very high standards of care Raoul joined The Extra mile Care Company on its inception because of the company’s positive approach to domiciliary care. Raoul still works personally with a client with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson’s but in his capacity as the companies Care Supervisor has direct contact with all the clients and their carers.

Sarah Johnson - Care Manager
Sarah has over 20 years experience caring for elderly people in the community. As a qualified nurse she spent the early part of her career as a District Nurse. For the past 6 years Sarah was the Care Service Manager for a domiciliary care agency based in North London. Sarah is responsible for the service provision in South West London.

She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and has started to learn how to paint.

Phil Mogford - Care Co-ordinator
Phil organises the rotas. He is responsible for covering all shifts with the most appropriate carers. He ensures staff have all the information required to reach their destinations and the details of the work required on arrival. In his spare time Phil enjoys music and socialising. He is currently learning to play the guitar.

Anna Fenton - Care Supervisor
Anna is responsible for visiting a number of clients ensuring they are happy with the service they receive, monitoring such issues as timekeeping and quality of care. Anna is also one of our specialist care workers and was named National Specialist Carer of the Year 2010. In her spare time Anna enjoys swimming and cooking.

Els Merry-Price - Care Co-ordinator / Administrator
Els is responsible for many admin roles within The Extra Mile Care Company office. She ensures that all members of staff have references, CRB checks and name badges as well as verifying that they have arrived and left their clients at the correct times. She is also responsible for assisting in the role of care co-ordinator. Els is studying for a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology.

Adelina Trillia - Admin Assistant
Adelina assists the whole team with their admin. Adelina is a qualified nurse from Australia and as well as her duties within the office will often undertake care work when required. In her spare time Adelina has a keen interest in photography.
