As with all of all of our services, care and support for people with a learning disability is focussed on personalisation and providing a care and support plan that is flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the individual.

The core aims of which are:

• Individuality – personalisation that works with the individual and their own unique personality, strengths and needs.
• Empowerment – enabling people to make their own decisions and take control of their lives
• Dignity – treating people with learning disabilities as equal human beings with the same rights as everybody else
• Privacy – ensuring that people’s dignity and privacy are respected at all times and not exposing them to embarrassing or humiliating situations or cause them emotional stress

Our specialised staff are highly-trained and continue to develop their skills and knowledge to ensure that they are able to deliver the highest possible standards of support. They are also trained in Managing Challenging Behaviour and Positive Behaviour Management so that both they, the individual and their families are confident in effectively dealing with any more difficult or complex situations that may arise.
