Who We Can Help

We understand that later in life you may need a little help and support in everyday life and all of our services are focussed on providing this assistance whilst making sure that your independence and dignity are a priority.

Dementia is a term that covers various progressive brain disorders which affect memory, speech and cognitive function. Although dementia is an umbrella term for a wide range of conditions, the most common forms of dementia are Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia and dementia with Lewy Bodies.

1 in 4 of us will experience some form of Mental Health issue in our lives and it is often very difficult for sufferers to seek help for many reasons such as fear of being dismissed and told to “toughen up” or fear of the perceived social stigma attached to mental illness.

As with all of all of our services, care and support for people with a learning disability is focussed on personalisation and providing a care and support plan that is flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the individual.

Our approach to caring for and supporting people with a physical or sensory impairment is one of “helping you to do things for yourself” rather than “doing it for you”.

Caring for somebody approaching the end of their life is challenging and emotionally demanding, but also one of the most important and rewarding areas of what we do.

Our specialised care packages for people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS are focussed on the needs of the individual and approached in a considered and sensitive manner with privacy and dignity prioritised throughout.
