Direct Payments

Many people now receive Direct Payments (also known as Personal Budgets) from Social Services. This scheme was introduced to give people more control and independence over the services that they use, instead of Social Services arranging it for them. However, it can be a daunting prospect for many people because they effectively become an employer.

The Extra Mile Care Company provides services to many clients who receive Direct Payments and the advantages of using us include:

  • All of our staff have Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosures and are fully referenced
  • We provide full training to all staff
  • We can change care staff when required and cover sickness/holidays
  • We take care of all NI and tax payments and holiday pay
  • We are fully insured (Employer’s Liability, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity)

We will work with you to make sure that you get the most out of your budget and the service that you require. We can offer invoicing schedules to suit (weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
