Dan Burner founded The Extra Mile Care Company in 2008 after a life-long career in the sector.

He worked as a carer for 6 years before studying and qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse in 1997. He has managed care homes, homecare companies and advised as a consultant within health and social care before finally channelling his passion and experience into his own venture – The Extra Mile Care Company.

Dan still maintains a hands-on approach to managing the business and feels that his accessibility to both clients and staff is essential in ensuring the personal service that is at the heart of what we do. Outside of work Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and children and is currently learning to play the guitar.
